Ok, after trying out the activity feature and prizes, I think XLC needs to work on something else. I don't want to waste money on something that isn't working for this site. Basically some members have been participating, but most have not. I've talked this over with MADCOP and I took in what Greed had said when he posted about the member activity. So what it comes down to is XLC needs to try another way to get xbox gamers to this site. Therefore, I'm going to stop the activity feature and try out something else. I feel Google Adwords is worth a try and maybe hosting a few tournaments. If you are not familiar with Google Adwords, it is a form of paid advertising and it may lead to getting more gamers to this site. With more gamers means more activity and clan support.

Any feedback is appreciated...

i think the prizes are a fantastic idea...but i think it would help to host different game tournaments and stuff...kinda like gamebattles....i wouldnt take away the prize thing (mainly cuz i wanna win

) but it jus adds something different to the site.

I agree with Lonestar49 about keeping the prizes and adding the new idea

I think the Prizes were a great idea and I think a good perecentage of our members joined because of them. I do not think they should be taken away.

Yes, I agree that you should not waste your own money, so I think you should put ads on this site( Not sure if Google Adwords are actual advertisments), that way you dont have to spend your own money.

We need to spread the word about this site. Maybe make an advertising team that goes out ad spreads the word across the web.

We do have ads on this site, but they don't get a good click through rate. forums in general don't get a good click through rate. I've looked for some sponsors, but seems it's to early to get those.

For now I'm going to have to cut back on the prizes because there aren't enough members posting.

Think about it, we have 600 gamers on here and at most we have about 25 members that are active that post. Site needs to improve before we start giving away more prizes

The prizes are worth having once the site becomes more established. Like SLP LS1 said we need more people/ traffic to be tempting to sponsors. Once this happens the bigger companies will take the site seriously and then the big prizes will be obtainable with their help. It is obvious that most clans/members joined the site only to give their clan some sort of legitimacy. In their eyes XLC is a site to say see we are a clan and have been since (what ever date). Think about it .. XBOXLIVECLANS is the name of the site. I think the name should be used to our advantage. If the site is advertised more it will catch on fast. Its easy to remember and to the point.

Success is never easy at first. We as members need to stay loyal and suck it up about the prizes. It will be worth it in the end.
