Xbox Live Clans

So we pay a yearly subscription for gold membership, currently £40, which would work out at $80 ish over here. What do we get for that?

We get online gaming. But so do other consoles and it's free for them.

We get an online community. So do others, take this site for instance and that's free.

We do not however get a stable gaming environment. It crashes often and the sound is always off on one in vegas six.

Should we expect a more stable gaming environment for our money? I think we should and we should not feel guilty demanding this service from Microsoft. Considering that PS2 and 3 get a free online gaming environment the xbox live environment should be glitch free or they should be a rare occurrence at least. Our money goes towards the gamer servers so perhaps it is not being spent wisely?

I agree with you on this one man. I believe there is someone else with the same argument somewhere else on the site. I do know that sony isnt totally free these days. I sold mine about 6 months ago and it cost about $5 for me to play NCAA 2006 or something like that online. But it was a one time only fee. But i agree there should deffinantly be a few better services for those of us that pay for online gaming.

Totally agree with you, Live has been out for awhile. They should have a lot more features then they do now, that's for sure. Where's clan support? Everyone has been waiting for this!!!

They do have some nice features other systems do not, like the arcade and cool messaging system. Should be more though...

I expect an update, wonder if it is ever going to happen. I heard there was suppose to be a spring update, but I don't think it ever came...?

Yes, I agree we deserve something more.

Either free DLC, MS hosted dedicated servers(No lag, no host advantage, no unfair bootings), or dedicated download servers for WAY faster marketplace downloads.

Or maybe even servers that'll allow us to dowload stuff in the backround while playing an online match.

Speaking of which, I remember when the 360 first came out and it was so laggy with COD2. Man was I pissed, couldn't get a decent game going. It's a lot better now, a lot better!

But it's not good enough considering it costs us to play. PS2 gave us free online gaming in the U.K. and it had about the same glitch level that 360 live does. One thing that would be cool is music and picture shareing between users with the gold membership. Integrating MSN messenger with the dashboard too would be good for me, then I could chat for free to my friends when they are online.

Oh well we can dream, they have their product out now and we were all suckered in to it, why should they take care of us now we are their prisoners?
