Xbox Live Clans

I don't mind paying for a subscription, it's all the content charges that I'm worried and pissed about.

I like to play the new content that comes on the market, but it's getting a bit ridiculous - $60 is enough for a game as it is, in addition to the sales tax I have to pay.

Xbox live is alot smoother than Ps online i know cause I have both ps3 and 360. My ps3 is a paper weight until i get metal gear but until then Xbl is the better of the 2 so i will always pay for a better service!

I'm not into paying for shipping and handling. I have stores right next to my house. About a mile or so.

Shipping and handling pretty much cancels out the taxes for me.

In actuality, you can make money by giving away products. To put it in this instance, consider the fact that when retailers offer entertainment discounts or fast food chains offer free food deals, consumers are more inclined to not only go after these 'deals' but even buy more while they are at it.

Like Dunkin Donuts when they offered free iced coffee. Some people go to get that deal and even consider buying a donut or two while they're there.

That's how by giving away products, services, can equal making and stimulating business transactions.

Yeah I doubt that would ever happen. Xbox live is great just the way it is. And skyhome made good point who is gonna pay for the support and keep it running well. Microsoft won't. Even if it did become free it would somehow come back to bite us in the ass. I have a PS3 too and PSN is not very good at all. I think the same would happen to Live.

IN my opinion to make live free to hurt the members more then anything, you would lose all the content that they offer for free, you would not have as much support as you do now, and most of all, you wouldn't have access to alot of free updates for games.

Then you do have to think if live was free, that money would have to be made up somewhere and that would be in the content downloads, like games, movies, videos, music and much more. Plus they could get become asses and decide to charge for most popular multiplayer games, such as Halo 3 and COD4. Just to make up for the loss.
