So my friend came into work today telling me that he watched the news last night. He said they had a section on the news telling the community that Halo 3 has been burning up Xboxes all over the world. He didn't explain in it full, because we are busy at work right now and don't have much time to talk. What he said is bad about Halo 3 is the xbox can't handle all the stuff that's going on in it and it's causing the whole unit to fail.

It make sense when I think about it, because my xbox 360 just permanently failed after the first month of playing halo3. I mean I was playing COD4 when it failed, but I think Halo3 might of burned it out like the news said.

If this is true, man there are going to be some huge lawsuits. This is total bullshit!

The big question is what is causing these units to fail? What is it the processor that's failing or what? Whatever the case is, Microsoft needs to upgrade that part. All they are doing is when you send in your xbox to get fixed they are prolly replacing the problem with the same part that keeps on going bad. I guarantee it!!!

The lawsuit contends that the problem is widespread, and that Microsoft and Bungie haven't taken any steps to fix it.

"Although faced with repeated and mounting consumer complaints and inquiries concerning this operational flaw in Halo 3, the defendants have failed to recall Halo 3 or otherwise remedy its failure to function on the Xbox 360," the suit alleges.

As a result, Nunez charges that Microsoft and Bungie are in violation of consumer protection laws. Nunez is asking the court to give the suit class action status and is seeking unspecified damages.

Microsoft and Bungie have yet to file a formal response to Nunez' allegations.

Halo 3 smashed video game industry sales records when it debuted in September. It took in more than $300 million in sales during its first week on the market, including $170 million in first-day receipts.
