Analyst: Halo 3 Sales to Quickly Reach $200 Million
Lazard Capital Markets analyst Colin Sebastian has predicted that Halo 3 could become the world's fastest-selling game, a title currently hold by WoW: The Burning Crusade, by reaching $200 million sales within hours.
Microsoft is shooting for a $155 million debut for third game in the Halo trilogy, besting the $151 million opening weekend of Spider-Man 3-- the current record holder for a film at the box office. In 2004, Halo 2 saw sales for $100 million between preorders and initial sales.
