I am torn between the 2 I love both of them!!!! So I wanted to start this thread to find out what you all think???

Halo 3 is still in the lead for me, I really like the game. COD4 is just as good though, but I still think Halo 3 is just a bit more fun for me.

I think both games are great in their own domains. What is the real let down though, is how much Halo 3 didn't live up to the hype. I think the major differences in these two platforms is not visible to the user in way of graphics or gameplay, but rather in the new innovative multi player lobbies.
These lead to a more consistant gaming experience with the ability to party up.
For me, COD taking on the likes of GRAW and Rainbow was always going to be a risk, and one that I truly believe has worked. However, I still believe that there is firmly a place for WW2 shooters and to that end I will still put the hours in on COD3.
Only time will tell if the lack of vehicles in COD4 will be the downfall. One thing is for sure, they have reset the benchmark for games of the future.

I think COD4 will be on top for a while but Halo3 will out last it. I like halo 3 a lot better just because the COD games are so much alike.

cod4 is one of the bests games ive ever played.Ive also played halo3 but it falls in comparison to cod4. COD4 RULES

Halo 3 has hype for a reason!!!! It's freak'n awsome!!!! I'm sure CoD4 is good, but I've heard it's just a pretty version of CoD2. Will it stand the test of time, though? It's tough to call, but my vote goes to Halo 3!

I like Halo3 online setup allot better. I started right at the end of a game in COD4 and then the lobby closed. So I went and searched again and I started over half way through another game and after that was over that lobby closed. I understand that it was luck but I think it’s stupid to allow someone to start mid game!!

I'm sorry to say I've enjoyed CoD4 longer, but H3 still rocks.
