I don't think the Xbox 360 and Microsoft are in a great position right now.
I just feel as if the 'box has lost its thunder, and there's not much to look forward to like there was in the past, when we were anticipating the release of titles by the likes of Halo 3, etc. Surely there's titles up ahead that will certainly catch the attention of the masses, but I honestly believe that with only 6+ million units separating the two (Sony and Xbox 360), Sony has greater odds and is in thee position to catch up and claim second at least.
Either way, it's not so much about the marketshare, I suppose; it's all profit. Even if Xbox 360 ends up last in market share, Microsoft turned a profit this generation and so that will suit 'em, I guess.
Still, with that month over and done with, some consumers should see some changes within the next few months, price cut, most likely.
