Revolution of gaming is an Xbox 360 gaming community built by gamers. We accept everyone, regardless of skill level and rank. We are looking for dedicated members that have good teamwork skills, but most importantly, gamers who want to meet like-minded individuals and have fun playing Modern Warfare 2 as a group.
Revolution of Gaming has a large member base which includes over 1000 registered members, and we are continually growing. Due to the large number of members, Revolution of Gaming is broken up into different brigades. Some brigades are general and accept anyone while others are specialized to target European gamers, those over the age of 18, and a brigade made up entirely of women.
An military ranking style is implemented at Revolution of Gaming to ensure that the community remains informed as well as organized. The ranking structure allows gamers to climb the ranks so that they may on day be in charge of their own Revolution of Gaming brigade, or even be promoted to become a Section General, who oversees several brigades. If you are not interested in the ranking structure, you can join Revolution of Gaming under the "Gamer" title and still be a member of the clan and a brigade.
Every week, there is at least on clan tournament that is organized by our Event Staff. These tournaments can range from "Shotguns Only Free-for-All" or a "2 vs. 2 Single Elimination Tournament." The tournaments allow the users to meet other Revolution of Gaming members and even win occasional prizes.
Our active forum community allows members to relax and socialize with other members. There are sections for discussions about upcoming games, as well as an off-topic lounge where you can talk about whatever you like.
To join, all you have to do is sign up on our
website, and post an application. From there, you will be contacted by a brigade commander who will tell you which brigade you are a member of.
Structure
Company: A company is a unit, typically consisting of 10 members and usually commanded by a Captain or Lieutenant. Several companies are grouped to form a brigade.
Brigade: A brigade is a group of companies, typically consisting of 20 - 60 members and usually commanded by a Commander or Lieutenant Commander. Several brigades are grouped to form a section. A Brigade consists of 1 - 6 companies.
Section: An individual section consist of three 3 - 5 brigades. Each Section is overseen by a Section General. A section would consist of 60 - 300 members.
Rank Structure
•Gamer
A gamer is a member of the community who isn’t directly represented as a member within the ranking structure. The member is merely an individual who holds interest in being involved within the community, but has no desire to partake in the ranking structure.
•Recruit
A Recruit is a new member that has an interest in joining RoG.Member is not considered an official member until promoted to Corpora. A Recruit is not eligible for promotion for up 3 days of recruitment to get familiar with the community structure.
•Corporal
A Corporal is now an official member of RoG and is eligible for a RoG gamertag. Corporals take an active role to introduce new recruits into their brigades and are provided to insure the familiarization of RoG’s rank structure and honor code. After an accumulate period of 1 week or more have passed, then a Corporal may be considered for a promotion.
•Sergeant
As a Sergeant, members will have to carefully familiarize themselves with the elements of the ranking structure, rules, regulations, and honor code. Once a Sergeant has actively trained Corporals and familiarized themselves with the overall structure, then they may be potentially up for a promotion. After an accumulate period of 2 weeks have passed or more then a promotion may follow suit.
•Lieutenant
Having all ready a deep understanding of the rules, regulations, rank structure, and honor code; a Lieutenant will partake a crucial role to insure that all lower ranking members within a brigade have a well developed understanding of the elements within RoG. After an accumulate period of 3 weeks have passed or more then a promotion may follow suit.
•Captain
After having served as a Lieutenant - now playing the role as a Captain will require superior leadership skills. Captains oversee and control companies within a brigade. Companies typically carry 7-10 members within. Captains insure the well being of their company members and can hold company meetings.
•Lieutenant Commander
Lieutenant Commanders crucially assist the Commanders of a given brigade. In essence, they are a Commander’s right hand man. When the Commander isn’t present or takes a leave of absence, a Lieutenant Commander will temporarily take over their role. After a member has served longer than 1 month in the rank structure or longer and depending on the situation, may a Lieutenant Commander be promoted.
•Commander
One of the most essential ranks within the ranking structure. Commanders are set to control and oversee a brigade as a whole. Brigades typically hold 10-60 members of individuals. As a Commander you’ll conduct weekly brigade meetings and have full superiority over your brigade. Demotions and promotions will be a key element partaking this role. After developing crucial skills, a general understanding of the ranking structure more thoroughly and successfully running a Brigade in the rank structure for 1 month or longer, then a Commander may be up for a potential promotion.
•Section General
Section Generals, alike Commanders oversee a brigade, instead Section Generals oversee a specific amount of brigades. They insure the well being of their Commanders and are made available to assist the Commanders with activities and are as well, suited for advisory. Section Generals are identified by the initials "SG" at the end of the members Xbox LIVE gamertag (Ex. RoG Sample SG). After developing crucial skills and a general understanding of the ranking structure more thoroughly, then a Section General may be up for a potential promotion.
•District General
District Generals oversee the Section Generals as a whole. While still overseeing the brigades and Commanders, they are provided to insure the well being of their members and leaders. District Generals as well, are provided to insure the well being of their Section Generals and are made available to assist the SG’s with activities and are as well, suited for advisory. District Generals are identified by the initials "DG" at the end of the members Xbox LIVE gamertag (Ex. RoG Sample DG). After developing crucial skills and a general understanding of the ranking structure more thoroughly, then a District General may be up for a potential promotion.
•Revolutionist
A Revolutionist is a leader of Revolution of Gaming and holds the highest rank in the rank structure. An Revolutionist has the right to promote or demote any Section General or District General they seek and hold the highest superiority of any leader. A Revolutionists main job is to expand RoG to new opportunities and to ensure its future growth and stability. All Revolutionists are equal in ranking. A Revolutionist cannot retire from the rank structure and be admitted back in as a Revolutionist. A Revolutionist can only step down permanently(to a lower rank) or leave the community. A Revolutionist is identified by the initials "RV" at the end of the members Xbox LIVE gamertag (Ex. RoG Sample RV)
