this is a true story
it happened a couple months back my friend came to my house and we were playing either army of two / gears of war on co-op
so i was sitting there playing with the 360 with my foot and i accidentally hit the button and the rrod suddenly appeared - my friend was like omg omg what are we going to do and i was like pack it up and we'll go to bestbuy to return it - so we packed it up got the receipt and my dad was about to drive us there when he's like just try making it work so i turn it on and its still rrod
he told me to turn it off for a second and i was like ok
and my dad pushed in the hard drive cover from the top because it seemed wrong to him and turned on the 360 - and it just worked ( i've also had problems with my previous 360 because it kept scratching disc so i just returned it)

Did you just use omg and I was like in the same sentence ?

I've had the RROD before and I didn't send in my 360. I got it because I turned the 360 on by pushing the disc tray button instead of the power button. I don't do that anymore

I've had zero problems ever since then, and that was in the summer of '07. Now I just use the controller to turn it on/off.

my xbox was kicked over off a desk while on its side and it worked afterwards for a mont then it got the red ring from the disk drive that cracked from the fall then broke... it started t scratch my disks so i just sent it in and got a new one
