wireless internet

my parents are nagging me to get my 360 out of the living rooms because I use up the tv too much but if I move it I won't be able to play xbl because my 360 is plugged into my wireless router
I was wondering if there's an alternative to the xbox360 wireless adapter because I don't want to pay 100 bucks for that

thanks , codenamewtf

If you have a phone point somewhere else in your house you can plug your modem into that and your xbox in that to play live.

Depedning on how far the modem is from your room yu could get an ethernet cable about 50 ft and hardwire it that way...

Thats what I did. Cheap, secure and reliable. I just unplug it when I'm done for the day.

What is your Internet type? Cable or DSL?

You could move the modem that is supplied by your Internet service provider (cable or dsl) to your room and just set it up there and then continue on, or?

Get back to me.

If you have to buy the wireless adapter, by all means, by it off Amazon or something, not @ retail price.

I am having the same problem at the moment. I would buy a spindle of cat 6 cable, ethernet wire cap things, and a crimping tool to make the wire youself.

I just spit out the $100 for the wireless adapter.. its no hassle, saves issues, great connection, I love it.
My friend uses a 50ft cable and that works too =P

I have the exact same problemo as 'wtf' apart from i just need to get onto live. And my room is about 80-100 foot from the main router, but i have one or two 'Airport Express's' dotted around the house, they are used as like signal strength boosters things.

Is there a way to hook the Express's upto my 360?
