I have had two RRoD, two were the same console. The second time I sent my 360 for repairs I got a refurbished one.
The first 360 suffered two RRoD from January 05" to August 07". The one I have now has lasted from October 07" to Present, and I hope it stays that way.

Dude, that sucks... Any time I take my 360 anywhere or let my son play it, I always tell him to take good care of his little brother. Now, any time someone get near it he tells them to not touch his little brother. Then he lets me know how well he took care of him.
I am on my first. Since Sept. 2006. A Birthday gift from my wife. She often says it was the dumbest thing she has ever done in her entire life. She calls it her nemesis ( just a term of endearment ). My son and I disagree!

I've had mine since the beginning of the summer of 07, and mine has still held up.
It's weird because I had the 3 red rings before and the blue screen with all the weird writing popped up. I turned off my 360 and turned it back on and it works fine. I guess my 360 adapted to the curse
