Would you want a Blu-Ray add-on?
Microsoft made it pretty clear that they would offer the BD drive if people requested it. Either way, it's a bad move though, and with all the rumors lately on the net, it seems we're bound to get one soon, whether external or internal. Now, internal would be pretty stupid (not only is it another back slap to the current base, but Sony would get cuts of profit from each console sold). Either decision will revolve around the fact that Sony will get royalties from Microsoft for using the drive, so in that instance, it's a win win for Sony.
Sony should be clapping their hands at the moment, as Microsoft is in one hell of a mired situation. Certainly we're still far from seeing digital distribution lead the way, download rates and intnet providers seem to be obstructing the progress and expansion of such a service.
I'll keep it short.
Just wanted to know if you want to go Blu? I'm going to hold off from making the leap to the next generation of media, due to the fact that I don't have an HDTV anyway.
