Two New DLC Packs Announced for Fallout 3

Confirming a severe case of "we told you so" today Bethesda announced that it will release two all-new downloadable content packs for Fallout 3. The two new packs are called Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta and will be released at an unspecified time in the future.

Other great news for PlayStation 3 Fallout fans came in the same announcement, with Bethesda confirming that the three original pieces of DLC will launch on the PlayStation 3 starting with Operation: Anchorage in late June, followed by The Pitt and Broken Steel staggered by four to six week intervals. The newly announced DLC will also be coming to PS3.

Point Lookout – Explore a massive new swampland area filled with new quests and content.

Mothership Zeta – The aliens have returned, and they're pissed. Experience an alien abduction first hand and find out if you're tough enough to survive.

Point Lookout will be available in late June for Xbox 360 and PC. Cost will be 800 points or $9.99. It will be available through Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live and through token cards available at retail. Point Lookout will be available on PS3 after the first three DLCs have been released.

Mothership Zeta is scheduled for release in late July for Xbox 360 and PC. Cost will be 800 points or $9.99. It will be available through Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live and through token cards available at retail. Mothership Zeta will be available on PS3 after Point Lookout.

More news arrives with the first details of new retail discs featuring The Pitt and Operation: Anchorage as one release and Broken Steel and Point Lookout as the other. These new retail add-on packs will only be available for Xbox 360 and PC users.

Finally, a Game of the Year Edition of Fallout 3 will ship to stores in October for all three platforms and will feature all five DLC packs as well as the original game.

They had better be good because The Pitt and Operation Anchorage where crap! Havn't got Broken Steel yet as I was so dissapointed with the first two.
