Because people stupid enough to buy them is what is it fueling this continued form of nickel n dime'ing.
It's ridiculous but that's the luck of the draw. If people would stop buying THOSE shitty themes, gamerpics, and other nonsense, they'd realize that there's no point to produce new ones, more ones or they just won't charge.
The original XBox never had games with as much downloadable content as we see today. It's absurd, but people buy THAT stuff TOO nonetheless.
I stopped a long time ago. I don't support any of that junk.
I don't have the money to waste, which is probably why I am saying this, but from any critical thinker's perspective, paying $60 for a game in March, and unexpectedly, content comes out in June and it's an additional $10, throws up flags.
It's already been revealed that developers are developing their DLC before their games are even released. Go figure.
