Rock Band will launch on Xbox 360 on May 23. Only Xbox 360 owners have the BUYING POWER to keep Electronic Arts happy - Rock Band has been confirmed as Xbox 360 exclusive in Europe until later in the year.
The price is quite staggeringly huge - in Europe, we're getting the Instrument Edition for £129. That's just a guitar, drum kit and microphone. The game has to be bought separately in addition, bringing the price for game and instruments up to well over £170. All 70 downloadable US tracks will be made available a week after the game ships, boosted by eight custom UK tunes.
So. How much do you like the idea of Rock Band? Do you like it more than having £180? Frankly, they're having a bit of a laugh, especially as we'll also be expected to shell out 160 MS Points to download extra tracks in order to get the full experience. Although it'll be worth buying just to drive PS3 owners wild with jealousy.
